The secondary school education in the fields of Commerce und Catering takes four years; passing the final examinations pupils get a diploma qualifying them to apply for further studies at universities. The final exams have to be taken in the core subjects (such as Hungarian, History, Foreign Language and Mathematics) as well as one additional subject to chosen among the following: Chemistry, Geography, Biology, Computer Sciences, Marketing, Tourism and Catering.

The bilingual (Hungarian-German) secondary school education in the field of Tourism takes 5 + 1 = 6 years. In the first year the pupils are exposed to a rather intensive German language drill, preparing them for the following four years, when several subjects will be taught in German. Exams have to be held in Hungarian, History, Foreign Language and Mathematics as well as in one additional subject to be chosen among Tourism, Culture and History of the German-speaking Countries and Geography; the diploma taken qualifies for application at universities. The sixth year completes the professional training; pupils will take additional exams qualifying them for work as tourist guides and as officials at travel agencies.

The vocational training in the field of Commerce takes 2+2 years, in the field of Catering 2+3 years. The specific vocational subjects are taught during the last 2 (or 3) using the so-calling Modular System. The following professions are taught at our school: Grocer, Sales Assistant for Household Supply, Sales Assistant for Textiles, Sales Assistant for Domestic Appliances, Cook, Confectioner and Waiter.

There is also an additional 2-year professional training offered for those who have passed the secondary school education’s exams in the fields of Commerce and Catering.

Languages taught at our school: German, English, Croatian and – as optional subject – Russian.
